MADE NEW YORK
MADE first debuted in 2009 as a fashion platform for emerging designers and cultural creators, launching the careers of designers such as Telfar Clemens, Eckhaus Latta, Jonathan Simkhai and Hood By Air. Continuing the MADE legacy as an intersection between fashion and culture, MADE x PayPal identified and empowered the next generation of designers through a two-day experience in Brooklyn Bridge Park in June 2022. Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School, alumni of the MADE program, served as curators and mentors to a diverse group of emerging designers shaping the future of fashion.
The MADE Runway featured designers’ runway debuts and live musical performances from Nas, Heron Preston, Amrit, Mona Matsuka and a choreographed performance by Parris Goebel to give the community audience a star-studded show.
In partnership with PayPal, the marketplace supported small and local businesses by giving space to 20 designers and brands to showcase their collections to fashion press and sell directly to consumers.
