Today we had orientation in the morning. It was pretty boring, but I found out I can get into the Louvre for free on Fridays so I think I am going to try and do that on Friday between my classes.

After the morning orientation we had a guided bus tour of Paris. It was cool to see everything, but the weather was rainy and after yesterday’s travel nightmare I don’t care if I ever ride a bus again. There is so much awesome stuff in Paris I want to do! I’m going to have to try really hard to actually do half the things I want. The guided bus trip did make me realize how much I saw in just two days with Dr. C. four years ago.

The Cite is really great so far though, well everything except the food. While my room is small it is worlds better than Payne Hall and actually bigger than some of my friends rooms at their apartments. The location is actually a lot closer to downtown Paris than I originally thought. The food, however, is nothing like the UGA meal plan. So far they have had the same three dinner choices for the past two nights: steak and fries, chicken and rice, or some country fried streak thing and green beans. None of these are as good as they may sound. I am craving vegetables and they offer nothing but meat and baguettes. The only breakfast option this morning was croissant and yogurt, oh and a tiny cup of coffee without creme or sucre.
